Top vs. Bottom has several meanings. Check this thread about top & bottom and see if it answers your question. If not, someone here will be able to explain it better then I can.

The nebulous reply is correct in that top can be dominate and bottom can be submissive but it can simply mean the top is a fucker and the bottom is the fuckee...either way it works. Hope that helps.
