I know, come back and not participating a lot, but preparing for my yearly out of state music fest................this year, right outside denver colorado, never been there, but a week of guitars, blues, and rock n roll
gonna be fun.

Getting there the night of the 4th, well, day time..........grabbing a few hours sleep then I have no clue on plans

I know Denver well Jazz. Lots to see and do. Be sure you go to the Red Rocks Amphitheater. Amazing place. Almost moved to Denver back in the 90s but couldn't pull the trigger. Still have family and friends that live there. Oh well. Have fun and enjoy.

I'll second the comment on Red Rocks. It's a must see; if you don't see a concert there then take the tour. Denver has a great craft beer scene. There's some good food too. The Mexican food is top notch, but you're from Cali. The lamb and bison tend to be fresh; it makes a difference. If you have a couple of days consider going to Colorado Springs or Fort Collins.
Don't underestimate the affects of the altitude; sunburn, dehydration, and alcohol have a greater impact than at sea level.
