The past few days I've often encountered a window that says "Database error" when trying to access the site? Anyone else had the same issue? Anything that can be done about it?
Thanks!

Only the site administrators can deal with database errors; all we can do is keep trying to get on to see if the errors have been dealt with.

I figured that, but was also kinda hoping it wasn't just some silly issue on my own end. Whew. Nice to be back on.

There may be a DDOS attack going on. When I logged in just now it said there were >1000 users, most with names that started Marka***. I belong to a couple other boards that have had to put in captcha to stop it.

What is the risk with this type of attack?

If it is in fact a DDOS attack it could potentially be targeted at making life difficult for those whose sexuality the source doesn't approve. Just a thought.

That was my experience as well.

Im not a tech, but from what I understand, it just causes the website to shut down from too much traffic. There were >8600 users on when I logged on this morning.
I have not heard of a DDOS targeting user’s ids, information, etc.
