Seems to be a pretty common issue, all interrelated to aging, enlarging prostates, medications and treatments for them and, perhaps, other underlying medical conditions.

I've noticed the past couple of years that my erections, orgasms and urine flow are all changing, and not for the better. Doc says that my prostate is smooth and not exceptionally swollen, and he prescribed the dreaded Flowmax. Had prostatitis, which can be a one time thing, a repetitive thing, or a permanent thing - different from enlargement though. A week on that med, and I had dry orgasms, and stopped using it when I talked about it with the urologist. I do not believe my capacity has every come back 100%, and I am not thrilled about that, nor the now 24 hour refractory period I usually see... I can have lots of interest, and often do things within the 24 hours, but it's more like an endurance thing after that first one...

As men age many experience Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy, a swelling of the prostate due to aging but not Prostate Cancer. It took a bit of getting used to not ejaculating. But I find that my orgasms are more intense now after my prostate cancer treatment (radiation) than they were before. Flomax does the same thing.....it causes you to ejaculate into your bladder. The advantage to Flomax is that when you stop taking it, you can cum again. After my TURP operation, that ability is gone for good.

Strangely enough there are several over th counter drugs that are used to treat retrograde ejaculation including Chlortrimaton, Brophairimine, Sudafed and Actifed. Use with caution if you have heart issues as they can raise heart rate and blood pressure. These drugs will have little effect if the RE is caused by nerve damage due to Diabetes.
