Hi!!

Was going through a closet tossing everything I put in there and REALLY don't care about (its just taking up room lol)....

I came across 2 books about sex... they are really books that explains this and that, kinda like books we read in health class at school.
These were my moms dating back to the 70s.

Do you think I should keep them or just get rid of them?? I look up all the sex info I need to know online OR ask a more experienced friend about whatever question Im wondering about.
I have not looked at these books since the early 90s.

So I know most info in the books are better explained elsewhere and its probably very outdated as well lol

Any advice what to do with these?? Im thinking of just throwing them out since I never look at them anymore and my mom doesn't want them lol
Thanks in advance.

Tasha

I love books and love having them around and find the internet is not the be all and end all of information resources so I would say keep them.

I keep two books on my coffee table and how people react to them determines if they ever get invited back.

One is "The Tale of Walter the Farting Dog"

the second is "The Pop-Up Kama Sutra"

LOL are you serious?? If I had a Karma Sutra book, it'll only stay in the bedroom in a drawer lol

Maybe sell them? It depends what sort of books they are but some people will spend tons o'cash on books that are out of print and if they are from the 70s that's old enough to have curiosity value. Why don't you try ebay?

PS There's a hysterical, very sensationalist book from the 1960s called "The Bisexual Woman". I think it's by David Lynne but I might have misremembered. There's a picture of a "wife who loves women" on the cover and she's wearing a see-through nightie.

I am serous...if a guest gets all uptight and flustered they are not the type of people I like but if they bust a gut laughing they are welcome back any time.

I tend to want to hang on to books. The mis-information in those could be interesting. If it doesn't really do any thing for you I would suggest giving them to somebody who works in public health or sex ed. They'll definitely find them amusing.

Smokey... where the hell would I get a pop-up Kama Sutra? I love the idea.

you might as well keep them, or else sell them. I have a 70s sex book and some of the illustrations are nice. Just don't count on it for up to date info on safer sex/HIV and other STDs.

Diamond Dog, ya, I was going through the books and they have nice illustrations too. I agree, the only info that is outdated would be stuff like safe sex, aids and other STDs.... its still ok if you just want to know basic things.

Know what I found?? I found a long forgotten bookmark which was a paper saying "from the desk of Tasha" stuck in.... right in the middle of chapter about lesbians. Thats pretty neat :-) lol Im gonna read that chapter :-)

Thanks guys :-)

hey Tasha,
I'd say keep the books cause you might want to look at them again sometime if your bored or something plus that would be something I wouldn't just put out in a yard sale cause kids might pick it up to look at not knowing what it is about or it could offend somebody if they saw it but if you really want to try and sell it then go for ebay to sell it fast

At one of our local bookstores "Walter the Farting Dog" has been their best selling book for years. LOL the 2 (or is it 3?) sequels of Walter are nowhere near as funny as the original...everybody needs a Walter. LOL.

There is a been several versions of a pop up Kama Sutra out for years, I had one back in the 70's and I got my current copy about 5 years ago...check amazon or abebooks.com
