Does anyone remember the days of Vintage Porn? I remember those good old days when porn was available in VHS format - aka video cassettes or video tapes. Those days, there were many movies that had a "movie" format - complete with a great title, names of actors (and if I remember right, there was the names of the entire crew.

There are three vintage porn movies, that I watched, that had a great story line, great music, and believe me, some good actors and actresses as well. The movies progressed around an interesting story, interspersed with hardcore porn scenes (sucking, fucking, threesomes, eating cum - you name it!)

I remember three movies to this day 1) "Born Erect". 2) Caligula. 3) "The Defiance of good". Some consider "Caligula" a historic classic, but the other two were great movies, that did not fit into that category.

Oddly, I didn't think that "Caligula" was all that but, yeah, the porn of the 70s and 80s were something to behold and many had carefully thought out plots and scripts and even dialog and music. This right here. The quality of lighting and film resolution might have gone up through the years but the overall production was better and more realistic to a actual movie. And back in the 70's in the likes of Deep Throat and The Devil in Miss Jones that's how they were viewed by the public. And how they were filmed to be.

It’s interesting to me to have been a part of the industry in the 90’s how much we shit on 80’s films. Now movies are what was considered below the low budget garbage I was in, almost “gonzo” at the time is more of what we see. I look at what I did back then, the style & feel is beyond cheese that most of us looked at 80’s porn at the time. 80’s porn in my eyes was more customer focused than 90’s could ever hoped to be. They actually tried in the 80’s to provide entertainment to the consumer, maybe they had better drugs than we did, but the 90’s had very little setup, lowered the sound of the room, layered a soundtrack above with shitty lighting.. fuck.. 80’s porn was phenomenal compared to my years. So much intrigue and a slower build, I helped usher in the instant Era of bate & go.
