I think sometimes people dont think, and honestly , its hard for people to know what to say. I was at a party once and had at least 4 people actually say

" I dont want to be offensive, but how do I address you"

lol actually in this site there was a big fight a number of years ago over what to refer to ts, tg, cd people as..... and how wrong it was to use the term shemale, tranny, he-she....the problem was it was one trans person trying to make all the rules for all people... and even trans people that said they used the term tranny, got told how wrong they were....
There was other stuff like there is no she males, they are all pre op trans forced to do porn and use an offensive term.... and yeah most of the site promptly ignored them, not cos people were trying to be offensive but because they were using terms others could relate to

I will call a person what they want to be called within reason but I am very much aware that each person is different and how they see themselves and want to be referred to, is different so I ask at the risk of being told that I am wrong....cos its easier than getting it wrong cos I did not ask lol
