alrighty then. missed you guys. finally got the services swithced from the old place to the new one. don't quite have the entire household LAN set up yet, but able to get online if needed for really important things. should be up and running totally by sunday. [ what a way to spend 2 hard earned weeks of vacation!]
see ya when i c ya. know i've missed a lot.

thanx, all... wow, didnt realize i'd be missed by so many. yeah been a struggle to get things up and running but i think i finally got all the issues resolved regarding my household LAN.
the place was a wreck internally when we moved in. actually we had to repaint everything [ still ongoing but the major portion is done] then had a flooring company come in and put new carpet and laminate floors in to replace the very nasty disaster that was here when we took possesion. [ frankly, the previous owners had no idea how messed up the place was when the previous tenants moved out.] soon as i can i'll tag in some before and after pics for you.
now, if i can figger out how comcast certifies their so called installation technicians i'll be happy. the guy who came here had never set up a lan that has a firewall/router installed after the modem and he really needed some help and guidance from me.
