I know this may sound wierd but I have to ask it anyway. I realize on average most men get a morning hardon, then once you go pee it goes away, which is the same with mayself.

But I have to ask the men out here. Have you ever been awakend by an erection? Or have you ever been sleeping and had an erection so hard it wakes you up? and it last for over an hour?

I wake up constantly from an erection sometimes its harder than normal and sometimes not. I have had erections SO hard it hurts a little. And more often than not it not only gets hard but the area called the perenium is hard as a rock as well.

Does this happen to other men or could something be wrong? Now I'm 37 years old and get erections like a 18 year old. I'm not saying its a bad thing but DAM it gets so hard I cant sleep, and are curious if this happens to other men.

Yup, I'm 38 and regulary wake up with a hard on during the night. Sometimes it will last what seems to be most of the night. Don't worry - if you can't sleep, just rub one out; that'll take care of it! lol

Morning hardons and hardons during the night are actually fairly interesting. All men have them and believe it or not, most guys get 4-6 erections per night during REM sleep. These erections aren't driven by sexual stimulation but are an attempt by the body to increase pelvic blood flow to insure an adequate amount of oxygen. Nice to know that your body is doing dick maintenance while you're asleep, isn't it?

But wait, there's more! Many women get increased blood flow to the vaganal and even clitoral areas for the same reason.

Yea, that happened to me this morning, as a matter of fact. Woke me up out of a dead sleep. I'd been dreaming about my wife's sister half the night.

ah yes...morning hardons...well, for me, it's associated more often than not when I've either had sex the night before or from needing a good pee...I don't argue it; it's just what it is. Yes that sometimes happens to me. I've found that it's my body's way of saying I must do something about it, get out of bed and have a pee. Afterwards it subsides and is better...
