Have to wonder if it's really the men or the society that's changed. Probably a little of both. Getting or giving a bj just doesn't have the stigma that it had just a decade or two ago. I think older guys are also less inhibited. They're more experienced...they've been around the block a few times. I think they are more open to alternative's to 'traditional sex" than teens and 20-somethings. That being said, I also think societal norms and views about sex have changed drastically over the past 20 years.
