Fresh stats from the annual survey of employees at the companies in the UK doing the most to make LGBT staff feel that they can be out at work without it damaging their career.

Such work is still not having as much effect on bis as on lesbians and gay men.

More here. (http://bicommunitynews.co.uk/5508/stonewall-index-highlights-challenges-bis-work/)

When I was an active member of The Loft, an LGBT center in White Plains (NY) there were a few men who worked at a major corporate office head quartered in White Plains. They said that their corporate culture was very Pro-LGBT, and that he, and other Bi and Gay people would have their respective Pride flags on their desks, and that the corporation encouraged them to display their Diversity in their headquarters.

Thanks bi-news

"Other research has suggested that bis earn less than gay or straight people, and that we are significantly less likely to feel it is safe to be out at work."

Interesting report. Have you heard of any intent to study the factors why bis feel less safe to be out at work? Actually, I suspect anywhere.

It was positive to read that the research separated from the GLT communities.

Yeah, not enough does! We all get lumped together and it hides what's really going on for people.
