View Full Version : The Geography Game

Since the Word Game slowly died out, I thought I'd start something new. This is a game we used to play in the car when I was just a wee one.

Some of you may already know how to play, but for those who don't I'll go over the rules. First, someone names a city, state, country, province or continent and then the next person names another of the above that starts with the last letter of the place that the previous person named.

For instance, if someone were to say Denver, I would reply Rockford as Denver ends with an "r" and Rockford begins with and "r".

You are eliminated for this round if you 1) repeat a place that has already been named (the above examples do not count) 2) name a body of water or geographical formation such as the Sahara desert. 3) Name a place that cannot be verified with a Google search.

Make this fun and challenging for the next person!

With that thought in mind, I'll start with the town in Wyoming that I used to live in:

Cody

Cowboy, I WAS going to give you the really gawdawful annoying buzzer sound because Yarmouth had already been said BUT you saved yourself from a strike by stating it was a different country :)

Something I should have mentioned in the initial rules was that once someplace has been said it cannot be re-used even if it's in a different country.

Sorry. My bad

Hi Herbwoman
Thanks for the rule update. Funny thing about that entry was I was going to use another city name, but changed my mind at the last second because it was yet another one that ends in 'E', I figured there had already been quite a few entries using that letter.
