Is Douche Bag A Gender Neutral Term?

so we allknow pole_smoker is a douche bag. not sure if it is Masengill or Summers Eve but a douche bag none the less. But more importantly, is this gender neutral? can a female be a douche bag? or more importantly, what is tbe female equvalent of douche bag? Not the c word, there are several steps between.

Seems gender neutral to me, but is generally applied to men. Here's a word that is offensive, but not used a lot; twat.

Interesting dictionary definition is a Douche Bag is a small syringe for douching the vagina, especially as a contraceptive measure. How can the term be gender neutral?... ;)
