Is it just me, or are some of my experiences with prejudices, rare?

1. My 1st wife was bisexual, but she was fervently against male bisexuals! In her mind, it was perfectly natural for women to have female lovers, but totally abhorrent for males to be emotionally/sexually involved!

2. I have a long-time black female friend and confidant, who is about 40, who has never had a relationship with a black man, or black woman! She's never revealed why she feels that way and I've never asked her, but I'd like to know why her attitude is like that.

3. A chubby lady I once knew, was married to a man who was much larger than she. However, he harped on her weight continuously. His theory was, it's fine for a man to be overweight, but his wife should look like Cheryl Ladd!

There's more, but do others notice prejudices like these?

I've run across them. And yes, I find them puzzling. Hypocrisy in general is a bit baffling...even when I spot it in myself.

We all have seen it, it is funny. I am not Mr. America at 50 something and am realistic about what my mirror tells me. Dropping 10 pounds would be nice and an extra day a week in the gym that I cannot currently work in would be great. I would love to find someone within a few years or so of my age, in about the same condition I am in and wanting a consistent situation not hit and run. It appears that the majority of people in my age range are looking for a 20 year old that can crack walnuts with their butt cheeks and never the same person one two nights in a row.

I have experienced the first 2... I knew a woman who was bi who thought Bi women were the most normal, natural thing in the world but bi men were just not right...

Also I dated a black woman for awhile who would only date white men and her brother was married to a white woman... Guess it ran in the family... However (figure this out) She told me her exhusband (who was a black guy) would only make love to her AFTER taping a bunch of pictures to the headboard of their bed and he'd look at those while they were making love... I don't get that why would someone want to look at pictures of other women when you have a beautiful liv woman right there who loves you and will do anything in bed for you??? Makes no sense to me...

I know a black man who despises whites but is married to a white woman.
I have met several gay men who do not believe in bisexuality. To them you're straight or gay.
And, this being the day after the election, there are still those who believe that Reagan/trickledown/supplyside/voodoo economics are going to make them rich and voted just the way the corporations wanted them to.

I've met a few black guys who aren't sexually attracted to black people, and I know a few white people who are 100% uninterested in white people and prefer other races. I don't think that's a prejudice, people like what they like. It's the same as straight men who are only interested in blonde women. Everyone's got a type.

Now, obviously, someone can be racist/prejudiced on TOP of that attraction/lack-of-attraction, but not being attracted to people of a certain race shouldn't instantly be considered "prejudice". (As a matter of fact, my ex boyfriend was quite racist, but had fantasies, which he had realized before and after our relationship, to be dominated by a black man. So you can be racist against a certain group and still have a sexual attraction to members of that group.)

Voodoo economics is alive and well. We have the last true believer here in KS.

We shouldn't confuse prejudice with preference

That is weird. Not only would that freak me out, but if I was her, I'd be highly offended.

I don't get why she would not get out of bed, go find someone who wanted to be with her and tell him to take care of his own problems himself as they were not hers. I'd be history first time on the spot!

I never understood why some people when they have sex with a partner will watch a porn movie during sex?

I've watched porn with my husband before sex before, which led us to having sex with the movie still on. But if he's watching the tv instead of me, it's annoying as hell. That's why I won't have a tv in the bedroom.

Heck, if I'm just talking to someone and they're paying more attention to the tv, it drives me crazy. That's why if I have people over, unless the point is to watch something on tv, I turn it off. Some people can multitask their conversation, but most can't.

I have experienced gay prejudice with most of the gay men I've been with. I really enjoy kissing, sensual foreplay, body contact and hot oral sex with men, but I have no desire for mm anal sex, giving or getting. Most gay men I've been with tried to convince me I am gay. They would tell me things like "you are gay and want men only, and only go to bed with women too so you can keep up a str8 appearance". Or things like "you can't kiss men the way you kissed me and NOT be gay" or "you can't kiss men the way you kiss and NOT want to fuck them or want them to fuck you." Or, "If you are truly bi, how can you enjoy penetrating a woman's vagina or ass, but not enjoy giving or getting anal penetration with male lovers?" They could not seem to wrap their minds around the fact that I enjoy kissing a woman deeply and passionately and making love to a woman as much or more than I enjoy making love with a man. It's why I prefer bisexual married men...no drama, plus they are the best male lovers romantically and orally ! They are also more likely to want to add little mild kink to our exploration :)

Yeah people just are picky like that and have hard limits. I personally know bisexual women who do not like bisexual men I've been friends with some of them. I myself dont know if I would be married to a bisexual or same sex loving or seeking man, or even gay man, because I just dont feel that I can compete with a man. A man has something that I dont have, no matter how much I may try to make up for that.

As for the black woman who has never dated a black person, I know a black woman like that who I went to high school with. I believe in high school she went with a white guy from a different high school. I tried doing the interracial thing in high school, didnt work for me lol. I myself think its best if I go with another black person. But thats my personal opinion of myself.

Now she considers herself to be a lesbian and she has a white girlfriend. She lives up north in Wisconsin and she only sees black people when she comes back to Milwaukee. She lives where they are NO BLACK PEOPLE and she only works with white people and has a white female lover. When I went to her dating profile, she had a preference for only white, Hispanic or Asian women, no black women. I know that at one point in time in history black people were considered to be property, and not even human (some people still have this belief of black people) so I think that when a black person hooks up or gets into a relationship with a white person they see a white person as being as being more valuable and worthy then a black person. (I've personally heard black men say this about white women) so I understand how that can happen.

As for this husband who didnt think it was okay for his fat wife to be fat but he thought it was okay for him to be fat, thats how it is for most men. They think its okay for them to be fat, because they can be a slob, but lord and behold a woman can't be fat.

Oh yes! One of the biggest things that I've discovered about a lot of gay people is that they can be just as intolerant as straight people, but then they look down on straight people for being intolerant. Prejudice truly knows no color or limits.

I talked about being bisexual at work, I'll never talk about that again!!!!! Especially as a woman of color. I dont talk about my dating life at work at all.

Also, I think there are a lot of famous people who are bisexual they just can't come out and talk about it.
