What happened to the live chat function??

I tried to come into chat last night and I could not get in with the program just giving you the little spinning wheel but never getting in----today----you got the chat page but don't even get the black screen with the timer wheel coming up.

What's going on?? I guess a major chat program crash----hope it gets fixed soon.
