if we all followed the suggestions in that thread, the offensive ones just might leave (IF we are lucky!), or at least take it private.

My retort to the above is that even if one doesn't read the offensive crap, newcomers might visit the site and think that this is what it's all about, which this site is NOT. This used to be a loving, caring, respectful community where the lewd/crude stuff was sent privately in pm, not out in the open as it is now. Two posters are prime examples of why MOST of our funnest gang is no longer here :(

we've been down the 'moderator' road before... just search the site for postings about it, but yes, in years gone by it was a wonderful place to meet classy people... met my husband here, for example.

I've seen countless sites like this one go to hell for this very reason... this one, unfortunately, is on a slippery slope. The ONLY way to combat this problem is to IGNORE the offensive posters... period.

I've posted in threads related to the topic but generally not in support of these ideas unless done safely.
Unprotected sex, especially unprotected anonymous anal sex, is idiotic and creates a burden for society when we have to take care of HIV patients as a result of this stupidity.
The science totally supports circumcision which helps prevent sexually transmitted disease, looks better, practically eliminates penile cancer and foreskin infection and smelly dick and does not interfere with sex function and may in fact improve it. Many of the people that are against it seem to have almost a sociopathic talent for supporting nonsense or unfortunately have come under the influence.

Next we'll hear that methamphetamine is healthy and cigarette smoking does not cause lung cancer, especially if your uncut and getting fucked in the ass bareback via gangbang.

I think its time for several of us to write to Drew privately (I already have) and let him know of our feelings. This was once a fantastic place where people could go to share thoughts, ask intelligent questions, and come to sort out questions that they had about themselves. We shared joys, triumphs, sorrows, and loss. We celebrated good times and comforted in bad. That "Family" feeling has gone downhill in the last couple of years....that's One reason I havent been around as much. That, and I got tired of the constant barrage of insults and ridicule from an obnoxious Troll. Him I can deal with, for bullies run when they see you dont tolerate bullshit. But the degrees of crud that has come up on here lately has gotten out of pocket. Its like moving into a good neighborhood, then having the Riff-Raff move in all around you. The ignore option is a good way to deal with insensitive people...when they can't respond, or you can no longer read their tripe, it's over with!

forgot one OTHER method to ignore someone:

go to your control panel at the top of your log-in page and look down the left side to 'My Settings' then 'My Account' and 3rd from the top, select 'Edit Ignore List' and just type in the offenders' name.

I find it a little faster and less complicated than having to visit the offenders' profile and put them on iggy there.

Don't confuse being OLD and being around here for a while, meaning not a newbie. What all of the trolling has in common is they post tons of new threads and reply to as many threads as possible starting on the day they join. Most of the replies are put downs and intentionally rude. Many other sites limit number the posts for new member for a limited time after they join and do not allow new thread posts for a period of time. It obviously would not end the situation but might help. There are still a few around.

This person is really a piece of work!! Even though he definitely can piss ya off---in a way though---you got to feel sorry for a person who spends so much time and effort in "being a troll." Life is just too damn short to spend one's time on doing such stupid and meaningless things as this.

The research, conducted by Erin Buckels of the University of Manitoba and two colleagues, sought to directly investigate whether people who engage in trolling are characterized by personality traits that fall in the so-called Dark Tetrad: Machiavellianism (willingness to manipulate and deceive others), narcissism (egotism and self-obsession), psychopathy (the lack of remorse and empathy), and sadism (pleasure in the suffering of others).

Not sure about the quality or accuracy of the research, BUT, that is a good description of this individual that dumps their negativity on this site.

As a new poster, I can say it does look very sleazy here for such a nice URL. Sleazy and with some of the posts promoting dangerous practices and espousing stupid ideas. I guess it was different at sometime in the past?
You know I hear that a lot I don't know what you mean by "sleazy" and which posts are exactly "promoting dangerous" practices. As far as "espousing stupid ideas" well your are gonna get that everywhere. I'm now complaining about what you are saying I'm just curious since you seem very sure of this. Robb-Honey, the posts in question Were sleazy and low classed. They were removed thankfully, by Drew. Adult themes and pics are all fine and dandy, but once they go over the edge of class and become down right vulgar and gross, then thats another matter. And thats what those pics were. :} The Troll must've thought they were fun, the rest of us didnt.
