I hope all of our members on the East Coast, and in the mid-west will be safe from all of the odd storms that they are experiencing lately. Justcurious, drop me line and let me know you are ok..ok? I'm worried about you, and Miss Belle, too.
Big hugs, Loves.:grouphug:

We had our first measurable snow last week with high winds, only about an inch. Yesterday it rained most of the day and more high winds. Power flickered several times but stayed on. I had my generator ready. Even the Bears game down in Chicago was delayed because of the weather. How often does a NFL game get delayed? Who cares? I was watching NASCAR. Knew it was a long shot but pulling hard for Matt to pull one out of the hat. He lead the most laps and finished 2nd but Jimmy only needed to finish 23 or better. He did what he had to do. Took no chances and ran top 10 most of the race, finished 5th. Big fan of Matt. Saw him run the WI short tracks when he was still in high school. Everybody knew he was going to be really good.

As one who has lost a home to fire and one to hurricanes, I can attest to the trials and tribulations of devastation! Those people, who lost material things, friends, and family, will need all the help and support they can get.

One thing I can say is, I've had great help from was both the Salvation Army and Red Cross. Anything you can afford, could help those in dire need.

No storms here in Jersey, unlike the past two years where we had a freak snowstorm on Hollyween and last years superstorm Sandy. Having said that though, the past week had to set records for cold for this time of year as it was absolutely ass biting cold.

Sadly--this latest round of storms brought widespread destruction and some deaths to parts of Illinois--the town of Washington, IL was basically obliterated by a tornado.

It seems that we are having more and more storms that do this sort of thing.

Other parts of the state along with some places in Indiana also had either tornados or damaging straight line winds.

Thankfully those storms are past and may we hope that we are through with such storms until at least the spring.

I feel for those who lost their homes and the families and friends who lost someone in these storms.
