I noticed how nobody on this site commented how the bisexual rock star Lou Reed of the velvet underground had died. Does anyone here like his music? He also was friends with other bisexual rock stars like David Bowie and Iggy Pop.

Was he/she really that big of a secret though? He dedicated the song Coney Island Baby to her/him, and in the article you posted he was very public about his relationship with Rachel being seen traveling together, living together, and having photographs and articles written about each other that appeared in mainstream magazines. I wouldn't consider Rachel to be a muse since Lou Reed was fully and easily capable of writing songs long before and after he met him/her. Lou Reed was mainstream in the early 70s when the album Transformer came out and this was years before he met Rachel and had a short lived partnership with him/her. When they broke up he stopped talking about him/her since he/she was an ex and they were no longer in a relationship together, and he got married to his 2nd wife Sylvia.
