Good question. I've had one but my X or my last G/F ever said anything about any difference in taste. Hell I can't even tell. It's all relative to me LOL. I'd love to hear the answer. I'd suspect the taste is in the fluid and not the sperm....

my husband had a vasectomy before our youngest was born. I can not tell a difference in taste. But the color and consistency is different.

I had one a few years ago and I didn't notice any difference in the taste, color or consistancy. It seems that a man's diet has more of an effect on the taste than anything else . . at least that's been my experience so far

After my vasectomy the taste seemed to be the same. I'm no connoisseur of cum but I agree that diet affects the flavor more than anything else.

Does vasectomy alter the taste or smell of semen?
NO KIDDING! This question has been asked a few times in the newsgroup, and is in the top ten keywords used to search this site! The threads in the newsgroup came to the conclusion that there is no difference, except for one lady who said her husband's sperm smelled different after he had had a reversal. We also address the questions of volume, colour and consistency of semen after a vasectomy in our on-line survey along with many other important issues. Basically men who have had a vasectomy say that it doesn't affect the qualities mentioned, nor does it affect the consistency or adhesive properties. I.E. it will still stick to dresses, body hair and gum up shower trays and make just as much mess as it always used to...."
this info came from this site...

wow . . I'll remember that the next time I run out of Elmer's Glue . . I had no idea semen was such a multi-tasker . .
. . maybe that's why I used to eat paste as a kid . .

I had mine 2006-02-10 and none of us have noticed any difference in volume or smell. I have noticed no difference in taste, but the ladies haven't had the chance. Just never got there, I guess. I'm a "snowballer"; is that what you call us?
Lately there has been a change from projectile ejaculation to more average flow, but that could be a medication change. My buddy's wife says if she's a walking medicine cabinet, I must be an international pharceutical corporation. Better living through chemistry! Could be the vasectomy settling in, though, you never know.
