naughty-slave-gurl made some personal tags for us. And mainly used anime. But if you look up anime you'll find that you'll see bisexual types pictures often. They have porn thats basically anime. Which is kinda weird, lol but everyone likes different things.

I have been watchind anime since I was a kid, it wasnt until I was about 13 that I discoverd anime porn, and most of that was the monster with the phallic tentacles rapeing the young girl. (ok then)
I dont know if its a BI thing, but I do know that the Japanes use their Anime as one of their pirmary entertainment sources. So it makes sense that there is a huge anime porn industry. And as such there is a lot of BI anime porn.

I looooooooove anime, particularly Ranma 1/2 and xxxholics. As far as movies vs. series, there's much I have yet to see, but a few notables are Ghost in the shell and Akira . On an unrelated note, Ebichu the house cleaning hampster is ridiculously amusing. I love cartoons in general because I am a reasonably absurd person. Otherwise I avoid television like a plague, even news, which I find it better to read.

That's interesting! Most American anime fans are quite open minded people, hence so is their sexual taste.
In most adult anime movies, series or OVAs the girls are bisexual. That is NOT the case with male characters which are always straight or gay, never bi. You seldom find a bi male character, much less a series or OVA(original video animation, a direct to video/DVD release).
The Japanese are quite fond and open of all things sexual. They do have a long history of bisexuality in their culture.
I don't know I guess some of these avatars are easy to find and make, or mos of the bi-members here like anime.

You would all be well advised to check out Ranma. In a nutshell, it's about a boy and his Father who are cursed by an ancient spell. When the boy gets hit with water, he becomes a girl. His father becomes a panda. I remember thinking, "I wish I could do that". Also, when he's a bear his father holds up signs with japanese characters. Ripping good laugh, that.
Ranma1/2 is one of the most popular and successful anime series and manga worldwide. For those who might want to know is a martial arts romantic comedy, where the main character a 15 yr. old boy is cursed with Chinese spring water to become a female version of himself everytime cold water is splashed on him. The stories are very sexy, with some spicy and suggested sexual humor many times, but it is never vulgar, nor sexually explicit. Though the main character is very very masculine and hetero he does enjoy some advantages of being a young pretty female.

whenever possible i try to catch an anime movie. i like the fact that the plots are completely different than anything in an american-made animated film. plus i have a particular fondness for animation from the production p.o.v. as a more econmical way of presenting a strong message visually. i've completely given up on hentai because i got really tired of seeing sexual assaults and rape. but i'll check out the ranma series. thanks for the info.

I think part of the appeal of hentai for me is that the boys have a very soft, andro/feminine look, which I find very sexy. It seems a lot more "female"-orientated to me, by which I mean that there's a focus on the male form as well as the female and there's sometimes some interest in the feelings of the characters... Also, the noises hentai girls make are totally awesome :rolleyes:

Plus, there's usually some kind of plot (however tenuous!), which for me give it more of a "fantasy" atmosphere than "real" porn. In hentai you get to play doctors and nurses or teachers and students, see schoolgirls in locker rooms etc. etc., none of which seems to work very well when it's real people acting badly! :tongue:

I noticed no one has posted any replies since 2006. Since I'm a huge anime fan ( and to be honest have nothig else to do ), i'll see if i can resurrect this thread.

The main reason i got hooked on anime is mainly due to the effeminately handsome guys. I'm a huge fan of Saint Seiya. I found out when I grew older, the story ain't that really good ... and the dialagoue is just cheesy at best. Ultimately its the eyecandys that hooked me. That and the beautiful music.

Any Saint Seiya Fans out there ?

I'll keep this short just in case there's no anime fan around anymore (which i doubt).

I've noticed a lot of people have Anime/Manga characters for their Avatars. I was wondering if there is a Bisexual and Anime connection? Just how many Bi's dig Anime?

I find anime porn very arousing, esp straight and lesbian hentai (or should I say lestai).
For some strange reason, I find the way girls are depicted in anime very sexy. That question is a bit of a double edged sword. Although let me just point out first that anime is very popular and if you go to just about any forum board you'll find anime avatars. Hell, I've been known to pull out a Hellsing avvie every now and again.

But onto the heart of the matter.

On one hand you could say that bisexuals are attracted to many animes due to their sexually ambiguous nature as well as the fact that shounen-ai and shoujo-ai are two very popular anime/manga genres. Yet when you really look at the content, many of these couples just perpetuate very hetero-centric concepts. Consider, if you will, yaoi's semes and ukes. Many will try to tell you that it's a top/bottom thing and while it is, there's more to see to be sure. In most yaoi/shounen-ai stories the seme is older, more masculine, and dominant where as the uke is younger (jailbait in the more...discomforting stories), femenine, and often submissive. I won't go so far as to say you never see this sort of thing in real life, but they're tired stereotypes nonetheless. Is that sort of thing exactly why people don't take homosexuality seriously? Because it appears to be mockery of heterosexual gender laws?
