Hi bg,
See the FAQ for this topic: http://www.bisexual.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_how_to_cancel
Deleting accounts is problematic on a forum site with more than 120,00 members, 13,000 threads and 220,000 posts. You aren't just deleting a user, you are deleting parts of conversations that have taken place. An administrator has to rebuild the forum threads when they delete an account - that takes many, many minutes. For this reason it is generally not done. You can't ask CNN or the New York Times to delete your account and all your comments - they won't do it either.
We have a feature to address the need that some users have to "go to ground" - you can make your account "Dormant". See the FAQ link above for how to do that. It is easy. It changes several of your account settings at once and effectively ensures that you will never hear from anyone on bisexual.com again.
You can also change your username (handy if the issue is that you have used a username here that you commonly use elsewhere): http://www.bisexual.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_new_faq_item
Using the two features together makes your activities here more untrackable than a CIA Director`s emails (at least as far as our part of it - your device-computer is another matter).

Or simply leave and not come back in to check your existing account. Delete all of your info off of the one you have, and bid it Adeu...

Regardless of what you believe or don't believe, no web site deletes you. They may hide your account and make it look like you aren't there but you are a number. The higher the number of members the more value the site has. Whether or not you are an active member doesn't matter. Just remove your information from your profile and walk away. I notice you haven't done that thus far so you aren't to interested in leaving. Looks more like a sympathy play waiting for someone to say Please don't leave.

LAMO! If you believe that I have some swampland in Arizona for you. The internet simply does not work this way. As they say ignorance is bliss! ;) Yeah, true. To be clear... I was trying to be funny, I didn't mean that literally. But using those two features together does meet the needs of most who contact me asking for their account to be deleted.
