Some of the longer serving members may remember from chat I used to have a big thing for Johnny Depp.. in a sense I still do... not quite as a few years ago however.. but I still think he is the sexiest and most beautiful man I have ever seen...
...spoke to my Auntie today on telephone and she reminded me of the time when I was 11 that I tried to have a date set up for me with him... the go between? If I say Jim didn't fix it for me, British members at least will know who I am talking about... yes I did... I actually wrote to Jim at Auntie and asked him to fix for me a date with JD... God... I'd forgotten completely about it.. Beeb didn't even send an acknowledgement out.. but all I can say is if even half the claims about Jim are true, its prob just as well my begging fix it was ignored...... but more importantly if just half of those claims are true, wtf were the nobs who run Auntie Beeb even thinking about over the last 40 years? And lesser lights and telly personalities who suspected things, heard things, had seen things and did nothing? I have a lot of affection for the Beeb... and it seems to me a bit much that it took a rival broadcaster, ITV, to break the story Beeb's own "Newsnight" suppressed for "editorial reasons".. and the scandal doesn't just stop at the Beeb either...
If the man was still alive I would be the first to say "innocent until proven guilty".. but he is dead now and to some degree we shouldnt prejudge the results of police inquiries and other inquiries even now... and yet since my Auntie reminded me of a little girls star struck silliness all those years ago, I am finding it a little more difficult to reserve that judgement..
