As I have mentioned before, I lost half of the erection controlling nerves when my prostate was removed. 10 years later, with the assistance of Viagra, etc, I can get about half of an erection. To complete the process I use a vaccuum pump and cock ring. I have been shaving my cock and surrounding area because the pubic hair would make the very tight cock ring more difficult to use (plus I just like the look and feel of naked cock and balls). I have been having occasional problems with ingrown hair follicals. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of years ago, someone posted a shaving method that avoided the ingrown hairs.

Sorry, I don't have time to look it up, but my GF followed his advice and she hasn't had any problems, since. I trim. but don't shave, so I have no experience, myself.

Exfoliate. Buy a body puff (mildly course sponge for the body), apply
an exfoliating cream and gently wash the area to be shaved. The combination of the puff, cream and hot water will open the hair folicles which in turn makes the shaving process kinder to the skin. Always use a new blade as a dull blade will pull and snap a hair. Then, when the time comes to grow in, instead of being a poker straight stubble it will have a curl to it and when the skin heals the tiny stubble will not be heading straight up but rather pointing sideways or down thus creating an ingrown hair. And take the time to place the puff in an area where it can dry between uses because a wet puff can harbor bacteria.
The puff and cream are an investment you will think is well worth it if ingrown hair is what prevents you from being au natural!
Good Luck!

We use the Phillips Bodygroom and get very good results. It's a foil shaver system that also has an adjustable hair clipper. It sits on a recharging base and we got ours at Target. I think we paid $60-70 for it and consider it well worth the price.

I was thinking of getting a NONO for my GF, since she likes being smooth, but wanted to see if anyone had tried one, too.
