I don't know if anyone on here talked about this, but it was big news a few weeks ago. There is an R&B singer/producer here in the United States that came out as bi a few weeks ago. He pretty well known and its a pretty big deal. I havent gotten into his music, but he's very brave for coming out, he has received some death threats as well:

On July 4, 2012, Ocean published an open letter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_letter) on his Tumblr (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumblr) blog recounting unrequited feelings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unrequited_love) he had for another young man when he was 19 years old, citing it as his first true love.[45] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-44) He used the blog to thank the man for his influence, and also thanked his mother and other friends, saying "I don't know what happens now, and that's alrite [sic]. I don't have any secrets I need kept anymore...I feel like a free man."[46] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-45)
Members of the hip hop industry generally responded positively to the announcement.[47] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-46) Russell Simmons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Simmons), a business magnate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_magnate) in the hip hop industry, wrote a congratulatory article in Global Grindsaying "Today is a big day for hip-hop. It is a day that will define who we really are. How compassionate will we be? How loving can we be? How inclusive are we? [...] Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear."[48] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-47) Other artists who expressed their support included Beyoncé and Jay-Z.[49] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-48) Tyler, The Creator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler,_The_Creator)also tweeted his support for Ocean, along with other members of OFWGKTA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OFWGKTA).[50] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-NYDaily-49)
Ocean references his bisexuality on the songs "Bad Religion", "Pink Matter", and "Forrest Gump" from his 2012 debut album channel ORANGE.[51] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Ocean#cite_note-50)

I was on another website discussing him, and all the bi guys are were getting pissed at me and other women who is convince he is gay. I mean to be honest he come off as gay to me. So it's whatever. But people don't like to hear that. Other than that his music is okay. I don't think I will be listening to it.But congrats to him.

Why do you think he comes off as gay? I'm friends with a bisexual rapper on facebook, and everybody swears up and down that he's gay also. People have been giving him a hard time. I will NEVER understand why people have to choose a side. Ever. His music sounds a little different to me. I've actually never heard of him until he came out.

Hey, that is good news ! It gives those bisexual black men , like myself hope ! I know it was realy hard for him to come to his decision to come out...in the black community, that can be dangerous, sad to say ,the black community is very closed minded about homosexuality and bisexuality among black males. If he says he's bi than he's bi. That's another thing wrong with the black community when it comes to sexuality, bi is the same as gay to most of the black community, I'm glad he came out he's a lot braver than me , the only people who know I'm bisexual are my lady, mother , the men I've had sex with and the couple me and my lady had sex with. And it will stay that way at least for now. But mad props to Frank Ocean

It's just the way he presents himself, and reading his letter. I say the man is gay, until I am proven otherwise. But other than that people seem to like his music, I am just indifferent about it. And I actually think he is getting nothing but support from everyone.

Being black myself, I actually see more people within our community being more supportive of gay men, than bisexual men.

Very true. Bisexual is just too weird sounding for a lotta people. Still very controversial.

I agree, bisexuality is alot harder to explain to those of the black community. Too much black and white thinking. But I'm not really a big fan of Frank's music. However, I'll give him major props for telling everyone how he feel and what he experienced. I bet he felt really relieved when he did.
