In the spirit of the summer Olympics this year, I pose this question.
The women's beach volley ball teams have a regulation to wear these tight outfits, when the men have to wear loose fitting boxer style shorts........sexist or not........I for one like the women's outfits!!!!:)
Thoughts????

Update,,,,my bad!!!
"Women beach volleyball players won't have to wear bikinis at the 2012 London Olympics. A new rule announced Tuesday says that participants in this summer's beach volleyball competition can wear shorts and sleeved tops."

Sometimes, old rules are best! Well, at least the girls in your photo seem to like them. ROFLMAO

When it comes to women's sports, especially beach volleyball, I am definitely influenced by the attractiveness of the athletes. I don't think that women should have to wear bikinis if they dont want to, but I'm probably going to be more inclined to pull for the team with two hot chicks in bikinis, like the Brazilians in the picture above, than the team with two less attractive women in shorts and t-shirts. That probably is a bit sexist, though. Oh well.
Maybe not, though. If I would like to see the men more scantily clad as well, then at least I'm consistent with both sexes. It's great being bi.

I agree. I think they should go back to competing in the nude like the ancient Greeks.

Hmmm, back to the Olympics in the nude. I'm getting hot and bothered thinking about both men's and women's beach volley ball. And wrestling. OMG, WRESTLING!!!!
Excuse me while I pick up my tongue.

I used to do beach volleyball as a teenager.... and the tight outfits stop a lot of sand in awkward places..... but from what I remember of the fight over the outfits... it was deemed that the males tight outfits were uncomfortable, sexually provocative and revealing ( the bulge ) and much of a risk of intentional spillage..... and the females outfits were deemed to be needed to be tight and supportive ( bra ) and that loose clothing ( shorts ) were unflattering and not a good look and would come off too easy... that part confuses me cos the same thing can happen to guys......
either way.... under the shorts, people are still going to wear clothing that stops a lot of sand in places....

Who plays beach volleyball.
Young, fit beautiful people of both sexes -
Go to a public beach and you see slightly less flattering bodies thoroughly enjoying themselves - often in less clothing.
I enjoy watching the sport at the Olympics. For goodness sake - it's BEACH volleyball: played in swimwear.
I just wish some people would get a life.
