I haven't seen the film yet but from all the reviews I desperately want to view it. It chronicles the end of the era of silent films and the rise of sound and the relationship between two vastly different actors. Gonna go queue it up on Netflix. Anyone here seen it?

Yes, I saw it and have to say it's a delightful little movie. Since I didn't see all the other nominees, I couldn't say that it's the best picture of the year, but it's definitely a fun movie to see. Very different to what we're used to seeing these days and wonderfully acted by the two leads.
