It's a surprise

I had the thought recently to buy my girlfriend a present. Its sort of a thank you to her for being so supportive during the last few months. I know, sickeningly romantic (sickeningly? sickenly? is that a word....anyway). Considering the stuff that has been over flowing out of the hot bowl of crazy that is myself. She deserves a medal. But I don't think a medal would go down well so I got something better. There was a lot to choose from, including a very elegante silver plated tape measure. I'm sure her knickers would just have dropped at the sight of it. But chose something different.

Anyway, the actual reason for my post is I need abit of help. I want to engrave a message on it. But I can't think of what to have engraved. The idea would be something in relation to me coming out and her accepting me.
I've been all over the net looking at poetry, quotes etc. but I can find nothing that seems right.

Somebody please help!!!

How about what you have said. "Thank you for accepting me for who I am" Or "Thank you for being YOU"

It doesn't have to be poetry but it does need to have a meaning to both of you, you want to thank her for accepting your bisexuality but in reality that means thanking her for accepting the real you. I think it's a wonderful thing you are doing and I wish you the best of luck as your relationship continues.

I was taking the piss. But out of the fact that in 'gifts for her' section of the website there was a silver plated tape measure.lol. Don't know what tool thought that would be a good idea. Perhaps if my girlfriend was a builder then maybe, but she aint.
