So sad...
"TORONTO - The city's New Year's baby has died five days after his birth.
Born at Scarborough Hospital, Ming Shui Lei was the first baby to be born in Toronto in 2012. The infant died from undisclosed medical complications.
"This is an extremely tragic situation, and our deepest sympathies are with this family during this very difficult time," said hospital spokesman Dave Bourne.
"The case has been referred to the coroner's office, as is the normal procedure, and the hospital will conduct a thorough internal review as well, as is our normal procedure."
I'm still trying to figure this out metaphorically. :(
