Yesterday I realised (remembered) that there is a nude beach not far from my home in the middle of suburbia. No only that, there is a section of this beach which is openly gay and apparently there is allot of action in the sand dunes. The beach is on federal land next to an army barracks and is not easily accessible.

I decided to go for a run along the beach to check it out. I walked from my house to the beach and started running. Sure enough 10 minutes later I came across the first nude man and then another and another.

For the first time in my life I was checking out naked men in the real world rather than the cyber world.

I stopped running after about 10 minutes and stripped naked and went for a swim. There were some men about 20m to left and 20m to right on the beach but no one in the water. The swim was so refreshing and invigorating.

I emerged from the water with a semi hard on. I put my hat and sunny's on first, looked towards the men to the left and right, put my boardshorts on and then ran home.

It was liberating to be swimming naked at a gay beach. For the first time in my life I was openly displaying my homosexual side in the real world. For me this is a tipping point in terms of coming out. I feel I have no choice now but to come out of the closet. I am sure I will be back at this beach again soon.

The gay part of the beach is seperated from the family friendly (for lack of another word) part. You can bring alcohol on the beach and they also serve beer on the beach. One big problem for the pervert in you though. There are federal cops that patrol the beach and any kind of inapproporiate displays, i.e. erections, sexual acts and you will be arrested and perp walked off the beach naked in cuffs.

Though I have never been there, there is a very famous NUDE beach outside of Miami, on the Northern side from what I hear. I saw a picture once of what it looked like on a crowded Summer weeknd......it gets PACKED.
Give it a try....even if you don't meet anyone, just going skinny dipping is a blast!

We've been to a few nude beaches. There is one on the Sacramento river in Sacramento CA which is basically a gay beach. Lots of action there. Then try Black beach in San Diego no action but tons of beautiful and not so beautiful bodies there. On the big island in Hawaii is a really good nude beach but the best is North end of Kuda beach in Bali. As long as your not Indonesian you can do pretty much anything you want to. My ex wife and I used to have sex and people would just walk by. Also there used to be a nude beach on Vanua Levu in Fiji which is great and Bora Bora in Tahiti allows nudity just about everywhere.

One more point to make: AS keeefer mentioned, in the United States SOME of the LEGAL nude beaches are Federally run. Because it takes a LOT to get the Feds to put aside a nude beach, there is a unwritten code of conduct that most of your fellow beach goers will be more then happy to help enforce.

Up in the central Florida area, in both Brevard and Volusia counties there are two nude beaches that are found in the Canaveral National Seashore area--the two beaches there are Apollo in Volusia and Playalinda in Brevard County---the entire area is part of the larger complex that includes the Kennedy Space Center and the Cape Canaveral space launch complex. With it being federal land and the fact that both beaches had a long standing history of having nude use and a longstanding federal policy of "toleration" of nude recreation on more remote federal lands---they still do allow you to sunbathe nude and go skinnydipping at these beaches.

As long as you don't do anything explicitly sexual in nature the rangers don't generally bother nude beach goers---but I know that for a time---they were jerks when it came to writing tickets for being in or close to the dune areas, a level of enforcement they didn't follow back in the non-nude areas.

They were very aggressive about writing tickets that started at that time from a low of $25 to a high of several hundred dollars.

I haven't been to either beach in at least ten years, so I don't know if they still do hassle the nude beach goers like they did then----even so--its worth going there just to be able to be nude and enjoy the sun, air and water--but with both of the nude beaches---the closest parking areas to them are rather small and fill up rather fast--with the walks from each of those parking areas to the zones that nudity is allowed is around a mile or so and if you cannot park in those parking areas---then its like a mile back to the next closest parking lots---which then makes the walk to the nude zones around two miles just to get to them.

Reading this information was interesting---I had no idea that all of that had gone on--I guess it does go to show---the situation is always changing and if you do go----see if others are going nude---ask what is up and if nudity is still being tolerated---you know to surely not engage in anything at all that could even be interpreted as being sexual in nature--if ya go with a partner--don't do much more than hold hands because you don't want any sings that you are sexually aroused or anything!

I had recently caught the end of a program where an American guy was visiting Croatia and he was shocked at how open and free the nation is when it comes to nudity--he was a bit reticent to do it at first, but some friendly tourists and locals encouraged him to try it. The American program host had been sailing a boat in this area and when he got to Croatia--everywhere he looked----there were naked people on the beaches, their boats, etc. This sounds like my kind of place.

In about 1970, a young fellow I knew was learning to fly. He had his solo license, meaning he could fly, but not take up passengers, yet.

I have been to those Croatian nude beaches, although admittedly a long time ago. Things may have changed since then, but when I was there, virtually all of the people on the nude beach were fat, middle-aged German tourists. No Croatian was ever seen there, except the (fully dressed) waiter bringing drinks to the foreign tourists. They were also located on the property of resort hotels well away from the town, so as to not offend the locals.
