Active X controls...

My computer is blocking me from chat saying I need to download an Active x control and that it is unsafe to do so.
I know I have been gone a long time and was hoping to catch up with friends from here...but this new computer is driving me crazy with all of its protective devices. Better protected than not - but missing my chat time!

Kitten,
If you are running IE9 you'll, which I will assume being you said it was a new computer, you will see a little icon in the shape of a GEAR in the upper right hand corner of your browser. Click on it and it will roll down and you'll see SAFETY, click on it and it will expand to include ACTIVE X FILTERING. Click on it and turn OFF Active X filtering. It will not harm anything and it was a MS screw up when they upgraded IE.
