They have been playing that clip this morning on "Morning Joe" on MSNBC--it is pretty funny--and with Michelle Bachmann----the crazy stuff they came up to have her say isn't really all that much crazier than the stuff the woman actually does say---thank god she has fallen way off even among the field of Republican candidates---even though--if she were to somehow win the Republican nomination----it would pretty much mean that no matter how much Barack Obama has failed as president--he would still get re-elected by a large margin (or should) if voters were to really consider the implications of someone like Michelle Bachmann actually becoming president.

Candidates like Bachmann might be darlings of the far extreme Republican party base and the tea party types---they really don't have much a chance to win in a general election and appeal to a broader audience.

In an election between someone like a Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, or Rick Perry---and Obama, as much of a disappointment he has turned out to be, it would be a matter of "better the devil you know over the one you don't" I think with enough people who vote coming to the conclusion that they will hold their nose and go with Obama with that number enough to put him over the top when it comes to the electoral college.

There is also that big thing going for Obama----he has the power of incumbency going for him and the ability to raise tons of money that still makes him a tough opponent for any Republican challenger---and if we had a Republican running like one of those listed above--as much as Obama may have pissed his base off---it would energize them to work for his re-election----not so much for him--but because they would not want to have a Republican tea party type to win.

I think that now that NJ Governor Chris Christie has clearly ruled out running for president--the Republicans that seem to hate Mitt Romney had better get used to it---he is the only one of their crop of candidates that has any real shot at dislodging Obama when it comes to a general election and they had better rally behind him if they want any shot at winning the presidency in 2012.

I can pretty much say that I now fall into the camp of being an "independent" since I think the Democrats are basically worthless and with the way the Republican party is now--could not call myself one of their number.

I do say that I can actually see myself possibly voting for Romney---but no way in hell I could I ever vote for any of the rest of that crowd, including that one who holds out she might yet run---Sarah Palin--of course--I could never vote for her and we would surely need God's help if she somehow became our president--that would surely signal the end of America if she got it---forget her ideology which is bad enough--the woman is simply pretty damn stupid in many ways and it would mean that we Americans really have gone totally bat shit crazy that we would be so stupid to vote for her as well---but thankfully---she is basically "yesterday's news" and I do think that people did figure out that Sarah Palin was nothing more than a hot looking opportunist.

Of course--this is all speculation, based on things as they are now--but we still have a long time before November 2012 and as they say in politics: "that is an eternity" with any number of things that can happen between now and then----with events causing things to go either way---with some turns sealing an easy win for Obama or going against him and opening the door for any Republican candidate to easily win.

I thought this site was for the discussion of bisexuality, NOT for politics! Remember there are two sides to every story.

Please be polite!!!!!

Darling, what many seem to forget is that politics and politicians affect how bisexuals are perceived and how they live.

Every political decision affects some of us and many affect all. Whoever is President of the United States affects even we in the United Kingdom and in other parts of the world.

How bisexuals are treated in your country and the decisions made by your politicians can and do often have a spin off effect elsewehere in the world. Being people, decisions made in the United States affect everyone in the world on very many occasions.

For those reasons it is quite pertinent to discuss political issues and politicians on this site whether or not they directly address the issue of bisexuality.

Also, as someone once pointed out in another thread some time ago, what is written here is a window to the world of how bisexuals are and how they think. Bisexual people are more than about simply fucking and sucking. Most are intelligent people who have more in their heads than the parochial issue of their sexuality and by discussing wider issues sensibly we are able to display at least some of our worth to that world.

That there are two sides to every story is unquestioned. Forums is full of threads which show just that. Often far more than two sides. That is a good thing and which I assume shall always be the case.

Joseph,

Could you kindly explain how that part of what you stated, that I quoted, is relevant to either your first point or the topic as a whole? Please?

Is that polite enough for you?
