View Full Version : I'm Still Bi Goddamnit.

I came here to join the community, but I wanted to explain what drove me here in a fury.

I'm Male. I'm Bisexual. I have had relationships with Men and women. I've sat in a redneck bar with a boyfriend of mine and pretended that we were just a couple of country boys having a beer at the hick bar. I have been called gay as if it were something terrible, called a faggot, been misunderstood, been told by people who don't even fucking know me that I'm confused, and been told that I'm not legitimately part of the LGBT community.

That last part is more recent.

You see, as a Bisexual man, I met a Bisexual woman. We got married. It's awesome. And until the day I die I will fight for marriage equality so that everyone can have what the heteronormatives have decided I can have.

But I'm still bi, goddamnit. I still love Neil Patrick Harris, I still think that Benedict Cumberbatch and John Barrowman are some of the sexiest men alive, and I still experienced all the problems growing up that a bisexual man experiences.

And I'm really fucking good at passing for straight. Growing up in redneckville, I fucking had to be or I would have been murdered.

But no, because I'm in a heteronormative relationship, that somehow makes me no longer LGBT anymore. All of my life experiences are invalid. I'm ignored, invisible, and everyone assumes I'm straight.

Should I tattoo a fucking bi-pride flag on my forehead?

If I'd been one of the many who didn't make it to adulthood, I'd be one of the LGBT community's vaunted martyrs. But now that I'm happily married, I'm no longer legitimate.

It's bullshit.

lol you have to remember that you do not get a say in your sexuality....lol....cos everybody else is right except you lol

hell I have been told in this site that I am not bisexual cos I lack a sex drive but I am still attracted to males and females....however despite the fact I spent more than 20 years having sex with males and females, that doesn't make me a bisexual cos bisexuals are people that have sex with males and females and are attracted to them

sargon, you are who and what you are..... and you know who and what you are..... it doesn't matter what the rest of the world may think... you know the truth....... and if the world doesn't like that... don't sleep with them...lol

It IS bullshit, and this has all been debated a hundred times. It's the biggest complaint we all have. I'm getting to the point now where I will stand up for what I know to be true, and if they don't want to believe me, fuck em! Some people are just too ignorant, stubborn, and immature to listen and learn, so to hell with them. Just go ahead and be in the LGBT community anyway. There is a B in there, afterall. I'm not going to run from it bc a couple people don't like it. There are assholes in every crowd. Fuck em. Afterall, there ARE a lot of people who are totally accepting of it. A lot more than we give credit to.

I say well-said, and good for you! The way you wrote that sounds empowering, like it should be a campaign where everyone tells their story!! Let me try it your way, lol...

I've been in hetero relationships my whole life. I'm in a very serious, very incredible one right now. But I drool over hot girls! I get seriously hot when I fantasize about fucking them! Olivia Wilde is my dream girl, and I think I have a crush on Lady Gaga. Yep, I said it, don't judge, lol. Women are undeniably sexy!

I can't be out to everyone. Sometimes I have to pass as straight. But when I can be me, I'm going to be me, and nothing else. I don't care what people think. Just means THEY suck at being decent human beings, not me.

I'M FUCKING BI, GODDAMMIT!!! And I'm damn proud of it!

Well, stated and explained in how you feel frustrated. I'm sure that there are bisexuals in same sex relationships who may feel the same way. I'm sure that there are bisexual married men who find it impossible not to stray who are less than pleased to be condemned and rejected by biromantic asexuals who haven't a clue about what it is like to be in their shoes either.

Join the club of bisexuals not being recognized as such because they are in a heterosexual marriage. It is super frustrating. I get the most flack from the gay community for it.

yeah we should go with your approach which is that heteros and monosexuals have no rights or opinions and should be silent cos a bisexuals rights come before all else, including in relationships and marriages, and the only thing non bisexuals should say in a relationship or marriage, is " yes darling have other lovers ".....

you have even told other bisexuals they are wrong for being monogamous in relationships and marriages, cos they want to be..... you have blamed their partners for it.....

I am well aware of what people can go thru in relationships and marriages, and I will continue to say, that partners have rights too, not just the bisexuals.... and if people want to cheat, thats their choice, but its not the partners fault, that people go outside of relationships for sex, thats their choice to do that cos it happens in relationships and marriages of all sexualities and that proves that bisexuality is not a valid reason for it.... otherwise it would only be bisexuals that cheated in relationships and marriages

Got to tell you it is painful to try to read your posts. I generally just skip over them due to all the misspellings and "shorthand" writing.

I don't know what Fran is, but I'm glad you're not talking in broad Scots. I can understand it, but damned if it doesn't trip me up.

It is Franspeak, as I have said many times before Sargon but you're quite new and probably wouldn't know.. it is how me and me m8s communicate on line.. it based on textspeak... used to use it a lot in chat and folk took it ok... used to use it more in threads than I do now... it usually depends on whether the thread is heavier or lighter in vein.. I have a sense of humour and like to laugh a lot...:) Some people forgive me my little affectation, some even like it.. some it gets on their tits...
