View Full Version : Women vs Men Fantasies

This is from an article by Dr. Victoria Zdrok and I was wondering what women think about what she says in her article.

Men tend to focus on activities and body organs during their fantasies, which led researchers to describe male fantasies as consisting of "sex acts and parts." Even though women's fantasies are just as vivid, they are frequently unable to provide the same descriptive details about the objects of their fantasy.

Women's fantasies are also less explicit -- women are far less likely than men to visualize their imagined lover's genitals than men are. Instead, women appear to be more involved with their own emotional responses than with the characteristics of their imaginary partners. Their fantasies frequently include descriptions of their imagined selves, such as: "I look so sexy wearing my favorite blue lingerie that he can't take his eyes off me." Women are also more likely to describe feelings that their fantasies evoke: "I felt happy and free."

Another characteristic of female fantasies is reference to exotic, romantic settings, such as islands, forests, flowers, waterfalls, moonlight and heaven. Many women also mention freedom from responsibilities or distractions (such as children or the telephone) as an important aspect of their fantasies.

I would have to agree with the author. My personal fantasies revolve around feelings, both physical touch and mental stimulation. While I may visualize a man's cock, it is not the sight that turns me on as much as the anticipatory feel of what it would be like inside me. The part itself is not the turn-on, it's what it can do for me, or what I can do to it to cause pleasure for the other person. My experiences have shown that most men are visual, and need to be able to "picture" the activity or the part involved.

My most enduring fantasy is to have another bisexual man join my wife and I in a triad where we all interact emotionally and physically, sleep together in the same be, and totally interactive in all the ways that a couple would be. At one time we actively sought a partner at Mensa SexSYG functions, but nothing ove panned out. The guys were interested only in her or in me, but not both.
My wife has never talked about her fantasies, but I know that certain scenes in porno movies gopt her dripping wet, and though she doesn't self-identify as bisexual, she obviously enjoyed sex with women at parties.
Another alternative to another man would have been a couple who were both bisexual.

Well said! I have to agree I am the same way. It's more how the man's cock can make me feel and anticipating it is such a turn on to me.

From the author's descriptions, I can't tell if I agree or not. I'd describe my own fantasies as focussed on "activities and body organs," but, really, how would I know if a man's would be more so? And I'm not into the exotic locations, either.

Oral Bradley that is exactly the type of relationship I am looking for with a married couple.

I think i need to keep mine in my head and not in a forum.
Mine change everyday.
I can say that most time they involve both a man and a woman.
But hey im Bi so might be a woman might be a guy, but better if both :three:

My fantasies almost always involve a man. Rarely do they involve a woman. I focus on his pleasuring more often than I do mine.

in my fanasties i'm either a man or a woman, and my partner(s) is either a man or a woman. And the focus of my fantasies is what i want to do to him/her or what he/she is doing to me, and i visuallize it. My fanatasies are not always of something that i would actually do; they are not always "nice".

And since this is a women vs men thread, i am a phenotypically normal female.
