For what's it worth, I just popped in and out of chat, and had no trouble logging in the chatroom.

You should never disable your firewall or AV.
From the sounds of things you might have a virus. Either that or you need to update your java (click the red button on this page)
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
prior to attempting to enter chat, delete your temporary internet files.
good luck

I forgot to mention to check your popup blocker settings to allow popups on this site... which is main.bisexual.com.

i am a very computer literate so i know how to protect myself even if i have the firewall disabled. there are alternate ways to protect yourself if something enters your computer. i only disabled it to see if chat would work with it disabled then i reenbled it. i never leave my firewall disabled for any length of time.
done the popup blocker also.

nope, no virus, keep a strong top of the line anti-virus/firewall on all my computers. i even tried a computer at a friends house to get into chat and still the same thing.
its no big thing but i would get into chat once in a while to socialize with people that is of the same lifestyle. i dont get out much due to a disablility and like to talk with people that enjoys being bi and i myself enjoy it when situations presents itself.

Try a different browser.
I had this issue two years ago and forgot about it.

what browser are you using? i tried, IE, AOL, Mozilla. it may be something associated with my email address, IP, or been flagged or something but i wouldnt know why..... havent been on there in the past enough to even do anything to get flagged. probably havent spent 30 minutes on there since i was a member.

One other suggestion you may want to try is to lower your security setting to below medium. Everytime they update things, it gets changed and it has caused me trouble before.
In regards to joe.......maybe you should try moving a little closer and perhaps changing your aftershave.

no aftershave, use cologne...LOL lower security and disabled popup blockers in all browsers.
do you know if there are any plug ins that screws with the program? plug in in aspect of computer program plug ins and not butt plugs as some of the wise people might refer to.

I've used FFox 4, Opera 11 and currently on Chrome 12: no problems. I never touch IE any version.
