Have had pretty good luck recently posting in the "Strictly Platonic" section of CL. Had 9 responses in less than 5 days. Of the 3 which I acknowledged, 2 fizzled in email & one communication by phone is looking good for a meeting over coffee. Thought I'd throw it out there for those who haven't tried it-or those (like yours truly) who can't relate to the "meet me in my motel room in 20 mins crowd" in the regular CL M4M section.

I'm sorry, got carried away - I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I really am glad you were able to find some friends there. Sometimes it can be very hard to meet people unless you are into bar scene. It's nice to hear something positive about CL for once, My mom tried to sell a dining room table and ended up almost getting ripped off.

I have found some surprisingly normal friends through Craigs, but a majority of the people seem to be "regulars". They change the town, or make mild changes in their descriptions, but you realize they are the same people over and over again. It seems every night they "cruise" online for action. I've tried to find a regular friend in the same situation as me (married, discrete, and wanting something steady, private, and safe), but it seems we get to the point where we want to meet for coffee or actually meet, and they chicken out and it never happens.....I'm glad I am not looking for a wife...

I've tried Craig's List in the past and I've only ever gotten something out of it the once. You can get a lot of fake responses and it can be a little discouraging. Still, I got what was probably the best one night stand of my life from Craig's List :bigrin: and I always come back to the site every now and again hoping something similar will happen.

I tried once, but had no luck.. scams and such. All during the time I was in high hopes of finding others in the New Orleans area who enjoyed passion as I do....but I keep looking through traditional ways.

Craig's List yielded two individuals who were both closet bi curious looking for their first man given bj....lol. I like to think I gave them a fantastic performance :) But, nothing since then.

as with anything that involves people...theres always going to be that flake factor. but ive actually met a few good people that were after the same thing i was.....so strings atatched...there was , as usual, there were the WAY too over exhuberant people too...but to those i just said it wasnt my cup of tea and moved on. one can play and maintain their values

I've used CL a few times too. Actually I've only ever had two encounters before and both were from CL. You hav to treat it like the bar scene I think. Weed out the creepers and start up a convo with someone that seems the most real and genuine. Sometimes they turn out to be legit and nice. Sometimes they show their true colors and you move on.

In both of my experiences when I finally met a guy I trusted enough to meet we had a great time. But I'm 27, have been bi/curious for 8 years and have met 2 guys. So the results are small.

I've been looking for another site to find guys also but it seems CL and this site yield the beat results. I've heard AFF is good but I can't afford to spend money on random hook ups and the bar scene is really not my thing. I wish it was bc I bet that is te best way to go.

Anyone else have suggestions on where to meet like minded bi guys that legitimately want to hook up and aren't just horny d-bags?!

I'm on CL right now looking for t4m. I've had a few hits from working gurls wanting me to go to there site to prove I'm real, (the irony of that) no way don't want to get my computer sick with a bad link. I have made contact with what seems to be a legit Philippine gurl, had a twenty minute call with her, supposed to do meet and greet next week. I had good luck with AFF, met a female bodybuilder that knew how to use a strap-on, just too expensive.
