today we are pausing to remember diggers that selflessly sacrificed their lives in war. i have just watched the currumbin dawn service from the gold coast, and it always leaves me in tears. it's so poignant and so relevant to even today with all the overseas conflicts.

to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. words will never be enough.

to all those who feel this is glorifying war, these lives sacrificed gave you the freedom and luxury to be ungrateful. i hope you never have to experience what they and their families did. only a fool loves war because in war, there are no winners.

I agree with your sentiments. God bless those that never came back, and those who did come back, damaged beyond repair. To our friends and cousins overseas, thanks seem such a small inadequate word for such an enormous sacrifice, but those of us that remain grieve for your loss.

May God comfort you in your hour of need.

Lest we forget.
