Hi all, i'm just looking for some info here, i went onto three pillows.com recently and saw they were advertising for sexual stories to buy, and i got thinking. see i need money, and i hope to get a job fast, but i also thought that i could write stories on the side and stock it up as a sex stuff fund, coz i have a lot of things i like/want to try, especially rubber underwear and clothes:tong: lol. Unfortunately i wrote to them and have been informed that they have too many and are no longer buying, so now i have a ton of stories already in my head, and i don't know what to do with them. Does anyone have any ideas what i could do?

I'm not sure if they pay for stories, but Literotica.com is a great outlet for those stories stuck in your head. I've been a member on that site for years and love the place.

I read a book, recently, that a fellow wrote and self-published.

The trouble with that is, he had to pay up front for printing so many books. (A hundred, I think) But they've become popular and he's sold a bunch of them.

If a publisher accepts your book, they will pay you, then gamble on it selling............they know, usually, if it'll sell, or not.

Having talked with a few published authors, I'll contribute this -

Yes, there is a market for what you are selling...

Best place is to try to get published in a magazine first or perhaps an anthology. Check out Writers Market (http://www.writersmarket.com/)( http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_19?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=writers+market+2011&sprefix=writers+market+2011)

(I probably wouldn't spend money on it, but check it out at your local library)

Be prepared for some rejection. Even the best writers were rejected at first, part of the life of a writer.

Good Luck!

SexyAds.com, LustyLibrary.com, Storiesonline.net, Literotica.com, and a few others, altho I dont know if they buy anymore, and Literotica will feel free to take liberties with your writing if they dont like the content, and take it on themselves to change it. Thats why I stopped sending them my works....
Good luck hon. Do a google search for Erotic Works Sites and see what all you come up with.
Cat, writes naughty...LOL

I saw that about threepillows. I am not sure of any other sites that would pay so this is an interesting thread.

well as a fall back, put up your own website and offer to sell your stories for a fair price.

You could offer a ebook of stories for $19 or some amount. It is not hard to do and can make you money. Or you could start a membership site and charge a monthly fee, ie $4.99 and give them to members,

In thinking about it, I would have a site that sold the ebook.

I bet you could be in business for a few hundred $, let me know if this is something you are interested in.

Nifty Archive contributor here, lots of the authors on that site routinely publish their own stuff, so there should be some links available for you there.

I would have no idea how to create a site or ebook, can anyone help me out with that?

Jimmy, check out Samhain, they accept submissions from writers even if they don't have an agent. They publish first electronically then later they publish an actual book.

There are various markets to try, from contests to paying sites, magazines and epublishers. Checking out 'calls for submissions' from publishers will let you know the kind of stories they are looking for, length and more importantly, what they don't want. As has been mentioned many accept submissions from new writers. When you submit though, ensure that the work is finished, checked, re-checked and checked again. Publishers will help with editing and offer critiques only after they accept a work, rarely before. If there are grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, formatting errors, they won't take the submission seriously.

A good place to start is Erotica readers and writers association (http://www.erotica-readers.com/ERA/index.htm). They have an authors resources page giving writing tips, tools and a 'calls for submission' page with links to various publishers. Also this site Duotrope (http://www.duotrope.com/), which gives ratings on various publishers/sites, paying or not, active or not. It does all genres, not just erotica.

You can try Bell Erotica for stories, they are pretty good but I don't know if they are into the types of stories you are thinking of writing.

I have tried looking up this ebook thing, but i cant seem to find out how to do it by myself, and doing through someone seems to give them the payout or something, and i've even tried looking up instructions on google, but they are vague and confusing
