Masturbation plays a big role in a normal sex life. The only difference is how often people do it. Some do it a few times a day, some do it a few times a week and also, there are some people who do it only a few times in a lifetime. However, masturbation is part of life and is also recommended by doctors as they claim ...that masturbation promote good general health and self-confidence.

I started doing it in adolescence, about 13, was dutifully ashamed of it, but just as dutifully seldom failed to perform my duty! :)
When I was 13, about 3 times a day was 'right', and my acne was terrible!

Health result:
My prostate is operating fantastically compared to my father at the same age. I'm sure he was fairly inhibited and if a woman was not around to 'drain the vein' his ego would have resisted masturbating. His prostate started clear symptoms of urination problems (as audibly witnessed from living in the same house) a full decade earlier for him than my current age... and my prostate still hasn't developed the same problems (enlargement - causing urination problems).

Now I try to make sure, if I haven't ejaculated in 3 or 4 days to masturbate, based on my belief of prostate health alone.

I have always done my part to keep healthy. When younger they said if you do it "too much" you will go blind. I know its an old joke, but I did it I guess just 'enuff to need glasses. Its great fun, especially when partner isn't around. Its also fun with the partner.

A very necessary part of life and stress relief for me!
I believe in regular stressgasms!

I don't remember NOT masturbating. It was at elementary school age that it got a name and a required parental limit to keeping it to the bathroom or bedroom followed by a swift smack.

Then as now it is something I just do and enjoy.

I sure have done it tons over the years---I surely took to it when all the stupid things people say about it when you are young--like "it will make ya go blind" or make "hair grow on your palms"--that never did make one lick of sense since if you were jerking off lots--the damned friction would not allow any hair to grow.

Well--I was doing it a lot when a kid---and when it surely didn't cause any of those sorts of things---I just ramped up my frequency of jerking off. It didn't matter since if I didn't masturbate---my body more or less did it for me in the form of very vibrant and vivid dreams of having sex in some form with me waking up having had a "wet dream."

I figured if my body was gonna do that anyway----I might as well do it more consciously---even though my mind was pretty good at doing some conjuring of some hot sex scenarios--I was already having "bisexual" dreams---since even though I may not have had partners of both genders in them---with one dream it might be with a girl and the next one--the person would be a guy and the sex in both cases might have been of doing oral or of intercourse---with ladies--giving it--with guys--giving or getting.

Guess I should have let my own mind be my guide and do things with both sexes earlier on---or at least do more things with other guys back then.

I was a late starter with girls--not having my first full blown sexual experience (having fully successful intercourse) with a gal right at the cusp of age 17 turning to age 18.

Before that---it had been that my sexual experiences with girls was mostly of the oral kind--either giving/getting or both if time and circumstances allowed, and of course a fair share of mutual body groping and finger probing, along with lots of face locking!!!:tong:

Of course--I had more than a few of those times that were of the "we tried to go all the way" but due to our clumsiness, ineptitude, nervousness and lack of appropriate places---coital sex just didn't happen.

I have been since 5 yo a big fan of masturbation and until today I practice it basically everyday except if circunstances does not allow, and it is always super nice for me, serving various purposes including stress relief but mostly because it is really enjoyable and there are so many ways to do it.

Have some of you already tried to calculate how many gallons of sperm you produced by masturbation? Try to calculate... if you are a good masturbator you will be impressed by the amount.... lol!

Hugs to all

Admittedly, my calculation is based on very rough estimates but I figure I've pasted various ceilings with approximately 23 quarts. Is the world a better place for my efforts? I like to think so.

Whether it's for good general health or self-confidence I'm happy to report I do my part and masturbate a couple times a day and more on weekends. I haven't stopped since I was 13.

I went into our local Urgent Care Clinic a few weeks ago to try and get a head cold or flu that wouldn't go away taken care of. I spoke with the Physician's Assistant that treated me about a number of issues, including being wrongly diagnosed some years ago with enlarged prostrate (BPH).

She (notice that's a SHE?) went on to tell me about the prostrate being a place where all kinds of junk can hide out and cause problems. She went on further to say regular masturbation can help keep the prostrate healthy so I shouldn't hold back on jacking off. She ends by saying, "Guys love it when I tell them this so they can feel comfortable jacking off more!".

I'll have to admit she knocked some of the queer out of me for a minute there. When she sounded so open about jacking off and such I got the impression she was a pretty sexual gal herself. I would have loved to jump her bones right then and there, if I hadn't had a stuffed up head.

Without masturbation where would my life be. I depend on masturbation at least once a day and most of the time it is twice a day... oh what fun when you are living alone.

For the most part, I do not masterbate because it takes the lusty edge off sex with my partner. I like to feel a little bit desperate for sex when we get together. It makes the fireworks that much better.
But, when, he is not available, masterbation is very enjoyable and definitely helps with stress.

When my GF's having her period, I get the most erotic hand-jobs imaginable! She gets a huge kick out of it, too! We agree that it's equally exciting to get each other off and are still inventing ways to generate orgasms manually. We both have great imaginations and that's something that really assists in our goals. We both are often surprised at what will bring us to an orgasm!

When I was in my early 20's, I developed "Prostitus"(I think that it was called that) after a relationship with a woman ended. That is an infection in the prostate. The urologist told me that a man may get/be inclined to get Prostitus after having frequent intercourse and then suddenly stopping. The urologist stated that those who abstain from intercourse even if they masturbate do not get Prostitus. It is the frequency of intercourse and then suddenly stopping that tends to cause the problem. He had an interesting way of explaining it to me by referring to it to being like a piston engine and that the engine needs to fire properly with all cylinders firing in proper sequence to keep the prostate completely cleaned out. Masturbation tends not to get the "engine" firing in proper sequence and leaves some of the sections of prostrate "stagnant" which tends to cause infection. Now, I remember his explanation to this day. I'm not sure if the analogy would still be seen as scientifically correct or not today but it is amusing. The old line about a man needing intercourse is really true...well especially young guys who have been getting it regularly apparently...

I think to Masturbate is about as sexy as you can get and you are not getting anybody's feedback about not doing it right or wrong. I love doing it and have been doing it since I was about 15. I love doing in front of people and also love watching people do it. It is haelthy and very satisfying.

I suffered from a epididymal problem years ago that required surgery and my urologist said the same thing. Basically, it's a question of keeping the plumbing clear and moving, though it's a bit more complex than just that. Unfortunately, when I would explain this to women, they'd just roll their eyes, which I found mildly demeaning.

I have been masturbating since I was eight years old. For years always twice a day, but now only about once a week, as not much opportunity.
Tried many different ways, have a big library of mental images and situations.

I've been masturbating for almost as long as I can remember; and its still one of my favorite things to do. I view it as a way to reward and treat myself for getting through the day. When I have a regular partner, I prefer to save my "energy" for them; but otherwise, I masturbate on a regular basis.

Personally - and I'm going to get in trouble for saying this - I don't trust anyone who says they don't masturbate. If nothing else, you know they are probably lying to you.

I have always jerked off and still do to this day (having seen your photos post I just got threw jerking off). My current wife has cancer and can not perform normal sex so I jerk off alot to porn. Had a girl friend once who liked to give me a helping hand but when i lost my job that ended.

Yeah but ya just cant beat a good hard romping. ;) Something that can get the blood pumping, the adreniline surging and the temperature rising. Grappleing, kissing, nibbling, biting, growling, suckling, lapping, crying out in pure abject pleasure when you cum so hard you both nearly fall off the bed............
What was the question again? lol:bigrin:

Yeah Cat!!! I tend to agree... A good romping will always be the best!!! BUT, when that opportunity doesn't present itself, a good self-screwin' can definitely be just as good... It will definitely never take the place of a sex partner, but that's what they make sex toys for now, don't they... Talk about something that helps take any sexual situation up a few notches in the excitement department!!!!:bigrin::bigrin::bigrin: Yep, 5 day a weeker here, if not more... Got some great toys I LOVE!!!!!!

Well, hmm I have masturbated since I was able to unzip my jeans and rub my crotch.. thought it was shameful, but still wanted and needed it as a kid.. two - three times a week masturbation is healthy and great when you live alone, rub my balls lightly , then slowing rub myself , take it slow and easy, before orgasm... love it baby..:bipride:

I concur with all everyone about the joys of and benefits of masturbation. I have only one gripe. The name!!

Masturbation is too long, too clinical and too formal. Jerking Off is better but sounds more adolescent. Teenagers jerk off. Adult men and women pleasure themselves, but even "pleasuring themselves" does not quite do it for me.

I know there are a lot of names, spanking the monkey and other euphemisms, but I have not heard of one that is sexy enough, mature enough, non-clinical enough, etc. to suit my tastes.

Any ideas? From this group of creative, sexually aware folks, I am sure we can come up with a suitable new name for an age old activity that is so much fun and so good for one and all.
