Closed Loops

Just thought I'd bring up something I'd just found out, although some here have been doing the same thing without using the label:

Was checking out my bi blogs this morning. One blog had a guest post (http://bilikeme2.blogspot.com/2010/12/finally-great-mind-in-our-nations.html) by a guy in his 50s that came out to himself as bisexual and described how he learned to deal with it. He mentioned joining the Closed Loop Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Closed-Loop/) and meeting other bi married guys there.

This Closed Loop thing sounds intriguing and probably what a lot of guys, myself included, are looking for. We just don't call it that. It's two guys, at least one of which is married, who have a monogamous emotional and sexual relationship. This allows both guys to satisfy their bisexual needs but keep their marriages, at least in theory.

The guy that runs this web site (http://www.marriedgay.org/closedloop.html) on Closed Loops says the wife must be aware of the relationship, but others don't seen to think so. Interesting idea and really nothing new. It's simply putting a name and an organization of sorts on something a lot of us are either doing or would like to be doing.

I am not married but I have been closed looped with my partner for more than 5 yrs. He was married, but divorced before knowing me. But, he still has a family that he would rather not know about the bi-side of him. It is good there is an organization that might be able to help others be somewhat less risky about sex.
