Is oral sex safe?

As a bi-curious I feel very much attracted by oral sex, giving and receiving and would like to have your comments based on your experience, on how safe it is.

From what I can tell, no, it's no safe sex. There's a theoretical HIV risk, and a real risk for other STIs. Like cornholejoe said, know your partner, know they're tested and clean. Know that you're tested and clean. Then everyone is safer.

Bascially, blowing a stranger at the bus station is not a good idea.

All sex with another person could be has it's individual risks for transmission of STD's and even some diseases that aren't considered an STD. Some different forms of sex has more risk than other forms of sexual conduct. But face it even so called "protected sex" has it's risks, actually there is really no such thing as safe sex, just safer sex... Except,,, masturbation!!! To me and to my knowledge, that is the only 100% sure, safe sex. :bigrin: After all, it's really sex with the person you know and love the most, isn't it? :bigrin: I won't call abstinence safe sex, cause it's really no sex at all.

I can remember when I was a kid, my dad caught me "walkin my dog" on several occasions.
At first he told me that it would make me go blind. I promised him that I would quit when I had to start wearing glasses!
Then he told me that it would cause me to grow hair in the palms of my hands. I told him to not worry, I'll keep it worn off!
Then he told me that it would make me crave sex all the time. And I said COOL, I can dig it!
Then he told me that it would make me a sexual pervert. I told him, hummmmm so that's what I am!
Then he told me that it would make me go crazy. And I told him that it's too late, already there.

These include hepatitis, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, etc etc etc. Use a condom if you are not sure of your oral sex partners status.
