I would like to hear the opinions of the long-timers here about the troll(s). Troll behavior does get obvious fairly quickly, but I can't tell if all the "members" I've seen come, troll, and get banned in the half year I've been on this site are really just one person, two, or more.

How many trolls haunt this site, and what names have/has he/she/they adopted?

I don't know if he still comes back here anymore---but we had one that was a very prolific "troll" for a time.

I am pretty sure that this one I first came to know as "Bisexualinsocal"

He started out being Ok---but under that name went pretty damn crazy.

Then we started to have troll troubles after he went crazy----what made it clear that he was one of our major trolls for a time---because under the guise of I cannot begin to tell you how many names he used----the topics he like to talk about, the tone of what he said--the nature of his names were almost always the same--oh yeah---the times his new names would post----I called his way of posting to be "drive by postings" since under his new names---he would post up like dozens of posts on the board in a matter of a few hours. The other key for me--before I made it so only "buddies" could send me emails and bisex.com private messages--I would get dozens of "nastygram" messages from him under his various names--with him using the same exact content for them all--the craziest thing of all---many of those came via GMail----but like many bully types----he was a major coward----if I tried to send his various GMail "names" a message in response----they were blocked.

He may come back here from time to time---but not to the degree he once did. I know that we have had a few other trolls come here as well---someone said we have actually had "trolls" who are people that like to target all kinds of websites for one reason or another.

Then of course there are the minor trolls, the ones that come in and ask strange questions or plea for help, or pose a position they are in that is nothing short of Porn Hollywood Fantasy Material that Ron Jeremy would love to get his hands on, or probably already has. No matter what they do, they never seem to get past 50-70 posts before no one responds anymore and they disappear for a while.

These minor trolls are obviously not the same person, just people hoping to come in here and see if they can get a rise out of some people.

They are of no big importance Hon, and we really Dont need to rile them up. Let sleeping trolls lie...lol

In my view, there are two or three trolls. They continually adopt new handles as needed. But their postings reveal them quickly enough.

I think some just have trolling characteristics....they irritate some but not others. Personalities clash, sometimes. When I first joined, this was the first site I had been on and I let some of the posters get on my nerves.

Now, I will share my opinions, comment, and enjoy participating in some threads. But, if someone doesn't agree with me, that's OK. Each of us have our own opinions, likes, dislikes, and theories.

I did learn, however, if you ignore someone who is abusive, or antagonistic, they will soon lose interest and move on. I've got a few on my ignore list...I just couldn't care less what they have to say.

Others, I can't wait to see what they're gonna come up with, next!

Since I've been here I've seen a few accounts banned. After reading one extremely offensive post by BootyBandit I can see why he was banned. Not sure if they are repeat trolls or if there are just that many people in this world that have nothing better to do than log on to a website to insult people. Guess it provides them the kind of sexual satisfaction they will never have with their own hand. :2cents:

There are a few different ways to tell the trolls and buttheads. There's one who starts out al nice-nice, but he cant stay that way for long, he gets nasty and argumenitive. Another has these looong drawn out tirades that say alot and mean Nothing, and quotes in paragraphs.
Another one uses the same litney time and time again, and cannot refrain from using certain key words. And when someone of the female side opposses his view, he goes in for the "Personal" attack. Size, heritage, gender, looks, ect.
If they cant get a rise that way, they resort to "Then why dont you just divorce him/her and get it over with?" and other nasty insults. Its sad, because thats all they know.

People who do this are bullies, and bullies are to be pitied and patted on the head lightly.
Dont worry about them Sweetie. Its a simple case of mind over matter: You shouldnt mind..cuz folks like that dont matter..:}

Interesting thread. I have only ever been on 2 forums. This one which is new to me and 1 other. I always wondered what a "Troll" was, but never cared that much about it to go hunt down the answer. Its always good to learn something new. LOL

Trolls generally are a bunch of bigotted, destructive p*** takers.. but they dont half give me a good laugh.. but just occasionally their contributions, so mindless and gormless have sparked of the lil grey cells by inadvertantly raising an issue and starting a debate which was both interesting and useful.. they didn't contribute anything of value of course.. except as the stand up comedy routine for light relief..
