Great photos, Volty! I lived in, and near, Louisville, Ky, for about 30 years. Loved the Ohio River, too!
In the '70s and '80s I had a friend who restored a '50s era Chris-Craft Cabin cruiser. We spent many a pleasant week end on that boat.
Your photos brought back many good memories, too.
Thanks.

I particularly like 003...great color and back lighting on the house and the mist on the water is great.

 Hey Volty!!! If youre rollin, rollin, rollin on th river, like the CCR did!!! My question is ??? What are you rollin up, rollin up, rollin up on the river??? :stoned:
Just had to ask that, cause people with inquiring (nosy) minds wanna know, ya know???
Actually, I'm glad to see that you managed to buy or buy into that ship that you were talking about this past spring. And a really nice boat, tell us about it!
ALSO, nice pics of the Ohio River! I like the river and river-boats, had a nice, older 25ft Chris Craft once. Wound up to be too much work / money to keep in the water, got rid of it. The Tennessee River runs through Chattanooga, where I live, lots of nice boats here. Some small, big, new, old, ETC. I do like to ski too, but haven't done it in a long time though!
SO, if you wish to post more pics,,, do so, you have my permission, OK??? :tong:
Your friend, :doggie:

By chance, were any of the pics taken near Madison, IN? The scenery sure looks familiar.

I was way too tired to post a reply the night I viewed your latest pictures. But, 5 minutes later, as I drifted from awake to sleep, my inner being was transported my bed to that river and that sunset.
I really like the pictures you post for our pleasure. I was way too tired to post a reply the night I viewed your latest pictures. But, 5 minutes later, as I drifted from awake to sleep, my inner being was drifted from my bed to that river and that sunset.

Yes--the ones of the boat at the marina at dusk were taken at The Lighthouse Marina in Madison---it is a pretty little river town.

Got a few more pics--a few more with the boat taken almost two months back now during a short trip upriver--- then a few more pics taken earlier this evening at one of my fave places just about anywhere---Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. Part of the vibe of the place, other than some good music, lots of folks bringing their Harleys and other bikes and classic cars--includes dogs, they are part and parcel of the place---in fact the "town" has a dog as the mayor. (one of those quirky sorts of things the place is known for--but that is part of the fun of Rabbit Hash)
The dog in the photos outside the Rabbit Hash store--his name is "Germ"--he is a good dog like most of 'em there--he made his way down to the store from his home up the road--he was walking down as I was driving in--he looked kinda sad for some reason---like there wasn't enough people around or something. I did have to give the poor guy some attention by patting him a few minutes---but with not enough people and dogs around--I guess he got bored and went on home.
The boat/river pics:

It sure was a great day--and we are forecast to have more of them this week---a nice gift from the gods----pretty soon it does have to get cold and yucky!!! I hope if you live someplace having this stretch of nice weather---you are able to enjoy it to at least some degree!!
The last two pics show part of the Cincinnati skyline lit up for Monday night football--the office tower is the new Western Southern Life Insurance Tower, still not quite ready for occupancy---with its "tiara" lit up---lower down is the ball park the Reds play--Great American Ballpark---Paul Brown Stadium is to the left where the Bengals play---but I was not in position to get a good shot of it from my vantage point.
They have lit up GABP in recent days to post up on the big board, a goodbye tribute to one of our greatest managers---Sparky Anderson who lead the Reds during the days of "The Big Red Machine" back in the 1970s.

Please do feel free to share photos of the place you live and the places you visit---I have been trying to encourage others to do so on a regular basis---other sites I go to have threads that people post up their fave pics they have taken.
I'd wish we would do it here.
