Better than bathing: stop relying on toilet paper, and wash your bum with water. I got turned on to the traditional way visiting Morocco in 1999, and haven't gone back since. You have to get over the initial disgust of making contact with your own shit, but once you get used to having a clean dumper it just seems uncivilized to wipe it with tissue and imagine it's clean. There is no definitive Shirah law... there are at least 4 codes put together by different schools of scholars and not all Muslim societies follow them...and in most that do they are the equivilant to church or canon law...but not state law.

It has been my experience that most women either won't do it at all or will do it occasionally for their boyfriends or husbands...but (no pun intended) those women who like anal sex really get into it.

Thankfully, these days in the US we actually have flushable anti-bacterial wipes commonly available at most stores (and very inexpensive) for this purpose. I keep them in our bathrooms at home at least and a plastic container in the car :-).

"Heard of a bidet" is one thing... "have a bidet" is something entirely different. Not found typically in moist neighborhoods I've ever lived in (middle to upper-middle class areas) ... found mostly in the most expensive homes or as an exception because someone remodeled - in my neck of the woods anyway.

It's complicated installing an obscure porcelain fixture, and then you need the space for it. Adding a hose to an existing toilet should be a lot simpler.

lol... well, as functional as it obviously can be, most American's can barely hit the mark and keep everything in the toilet today. Imagining some of our "fair citizens" with a hose near the toilet is just scary (there goes the paint on the walls and ceiling). Not to mention ...
