Ok, gotta 'fess up to being 'weird' here...

I love reading accounts of actual sexual scenarios that others share. But I don't like 'stories', as in 'made-up stuff', especially if dialog is included. I guess it goes back a l-o-n-g way, when a college roommate brought home a cheap sex novel called Hank's Hunk. I don't remember a thing about this literary masterpiece aside from this single line of 'dialog', and I quote:

"Shit! Piss! Fuck!!"

I think this planted a 'stilted dialog' switch in me, and if I detect it, I get turned-off...I used to enjoy the letters to the editor in Penthouse, and then Penthouse Letters magazines, and I got turned on by them, especially the ones where somebody was fucking somebody else's wife/sister/girlfriend. But it didn't take long for me to start believing that most of these letters were bullshit, in other words -- 'made up stories', and I stopped liking them.

I enjoy trading email stories of my sexual experiences with others, and enjoy reading of others' adventures, too. But fiction? Nope, not interested. If it's labeled 'story' here in the forum, hot as it may be to others, I don't even open the thread. My loss, I know...

I'm the same way about jokes. Think I have a good sense of humor, but I generally don't laugh at typical formulaic jokes. with a setup and a punchline. Observational humor, which is rooted in the foibles of everyday life, makes me laugh. I also appreciate satire. Wanna see me stone-faced, start out with 'So chronic masturbator and a chicken walk into a bar...'

I just don't see the humor in most jokes.
