Cool Idea! It was too tempting to not reply. My personal experience, of course, isn't the same as the discribed 'what if' scenario but it has certainly offered some valuable insights. The effects of anti androgens and estrogen in massive doses over time are a lot more involved than most people would ever imagine, and the physical changes much more profound than what people get to see. The change and increase in physical sensitivity, wow. I think it would be cool if everyone naturally completely changed sex for a few years of their lives. There are some animals that do. Society would get along so much better I think. Then every child could have a mother and a father , lol. For me though, I love the elements of both that I get to experience in my life as a transsexual woman and wouldn't have it any other way. -Karen

I love being a woman. It's the greatest thing there is. But I have thought about what it would like to be a man for a day. (Or maybe even a long weekend) I really think I'd like the experience. For me, it would take a complete revelation to turn me perma-man. I love being a lady. Despite my numerous "masculine" personality traits and tomboy childhood, I've never had gender or sexual identity qualms. I just consider myself a big fan of discovery.

Probably, just to see what it would be like. The only problem is that people tend to have more expectations for men to succeed. I definately would, no question. I've been a crossdresser since I was 4 when my mom caught me wearing my sister's dress. I never stopped, I just made sure not to get caught again. I believe it would be great for both sexes. And all husband and wives should for no less than one month. It is the only way we could understand the hormone thing. In that scenario, you begin the treatment now and by about a year later you've transitioned fully. That means, whether transing to or from your destination sex, you have a year at a time with the genital bits of both sexes.

There's a scene at the end of one of the stories (forget which, possibly The Player of Games) where the male lead meets up with his ex-girlfriend, at that point re-transing back from male to female, and they have sex together, it being reported that she still has "bulbous" genitals.

I think if I could "do" female for a year at a time, it would certainly give the "glass ceiling" a beating.

So if women can't possibly know which is worse because they haven't experienced both, then what makes you so sure *you* know which one's worse? I highly doubt you have experienced labor pains... I have experienced neither and so don't claim any insight into how painful either one is, but no one on Earth can say they've experienced both, so no one on Earth can claim to know which sex endures the greater pain. Plus, all people are individual, so probably one woman's labor pains are more or less painful than another woman's, and one man's pain at getting kicked there is more or less peinful than another man's. It's silly even to argue about which is worse, because no one can possibly know.
