As women become able to support themselves and raise children alone or with other women, they are liberated from the kitchen and bedroom--and men are also becoming free to discover and express a sexuality different from the one imposed upon them, which demands heterosexuality.
Many of the discussions (as opposed to reality) about whether prostitution is liberation or slavery, express this new dynamic in sexual relationships outside of commerce. And men's new interest in pursuing homosexual desires, though not new, is fueled by their liberation from their traditional role in relationships to women. So think about that, the next time your date pays for her own dinner, or your daughter wants to pay for college doing porn....
