Ladies: would you date a man that's been with a female or male prostitute?

Guys: have you ever hired a male prostitute or would you "date" a male or female prostitute, or a person who has been with a male or female prostitute?

I have never paid for a prostitute as there's no need to, and I personally would not "date" an actual male or female prostitute.

If someone I had dated had been with a male or female prostitute I would not care because that was in the past before me. I do know people who are from Central and South American countries where they said how their father paid for a whore for the male siblings for their first sexual experience since that was something that was done there.

I have dated gay or bi men who did think about becoming a male prostitute but they have never done any sort of prostitution at all.

I'm not sure what is the big deal. No one seems to care, at least in this society, if you are with a person who has had sex with other people before you. Prostitutes are vectors of disease, people who have very low self esteem or problems such as patterns of physical or sexual abuse as this is what can drive them into prostitution if it's their choice, and as for reasons why people do not want to be with a prostitute or former prostitute it's because they've been with a lot of people, and very few people actually stop being prostitutes and I know of nobody who was not a former prostitute who does not have tons of baggage and issues about it.

Put it this way as a longtime guy friend of mine says, "Would you really want to be with a woman or man who did sex for pay as a whore, has major issues concerning sex/love/healthy relationships, who probably has an STD or two, and who has had more sexual partners than most people will have in a lifetime?"

True. Even women and men who have done porn and who have had sex with lots of people have basically said how in porn a lot of people do get STDs especially the common ones like herpes, genital warts (HPV), HIV, and even ones like gonnoreah.

Yes people in porn are supposedly tested but they still get STDs anyway from other people in porn. Condoms are supposedly used but they don't protect against herpes or HPV, and some porn companies don't use them at all, and others performers in porn do things like cut off the end of one to get around using one but it looks like one is being used in the porn.

Then there's the fact that very few people who do porn in front of the camera make very little money, and make more money on the side as prostitutes; but it has been this way for decades.

I understand the morality position about "dating" a person who has given sex for pay. It seems to me that any concern that I might have might be from mixing up "emotional" love with sex for pay. I might mix sex for emotions with my own personal value. (if I pay for sex I am not loved as I should be). I might consider sex for emotions as a more valid form of sexual relationship than an exchange of money for sex. I might see myself as treating sex as a commodity as if I am buying a loaf of bread or some other item with a cash value attached.

Then there is the belief that if you take someone out for dinner and have/expect sex after dinner that you are having sex for a form of payment.

I have dated and lived with a few and hired (3) female prostitutes, which I doubt I would do again. The last one I married, and it lasted a bit less than 3 yrs, though prostitution had no effect on the relationship. Of course it counts as prostitution. There are lots of women who are addicted to drugs like cannabis, or even other drugs like heroin, coke, and meth who pay for drugs or get a discount for them from a dealer by having sex, and yes this is prostitution.
