I have tried all the free sites to meet other Bi men, and all I found was game players and just b/s'ers. I wonder if any of the sites that cost would weed out those gamers, Has anyone on here had better luck with them then the free ones? And which ones are best? This one is a good site here , but my area here is dead, no members on here within my area.
Personally, I've seeked Couples, Men, and sometimes (rarely) women (in that order of priority). I've played since I was a teen, and met people through newspaper personals, and then eventually on the internet. The best meetings were years ago when I met people at clubs or on cruises, while working as a musician. A few drinks, some time in a steam room or hot tub, and eventually some great times. I've met a few people through my "normal life" before being married as well, but the frustrations on the internet are so infuriating, I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type. I am considered decent looking, have all my teeth, do not smoke or do drugs, am a well spoken engineer, average endowment, well groomed, and discrete.
I've given up and left many sites I paid-for and joined in total disgust. I always make sure I attempt to contact people in my age range, who are seeking the same kind of play that I am, and write short, simple respectable and fairly G rated responses. When I was a free member, people said "if you were real, you would be a paid member". I became a paid member and got certified on some sites as real,fun,discrete, and a nice guy. That didn't make much difference in the long run.
I've been on SLS, AFF, Yahoo personals (when they existed), Bisexual.com, Craigslist, Silver-Daddies and whether paid or not, you still run into the same thing ! Having the money to pay a membership fee (S-D is five bucks a month, many are less than ten bucks a month), won't guarantee you won't meet assholes. I've met many people on these sties (via e-mail), very few get beyond e-mails, photo exchanges, or maybe an occasional phone call and a VERY RARE in-person meeting for a beer or coffee. The percentage has to be 1% turn out real, and result in actual sexual contact. I've even met people "over again" with different profiles, same pictures, or different websites with different names...it's sad and frustrating.
I met a few through here. I like this site, and I had a few nice encounters with people from here. I have also been warned by friends about other posters to avoid, people who changed names or re-registered after being banned, and so forth. The good part is the sense of community here.
