I would think you got a wake up call and what NOT to insert into your anus. We need to realize that anything inserted into the rectum is actually going into your colon. There is quite the evidence that colo/rectal cancer, and its rise of detection, are proportional to the increase of sexual behaviors concerning anal sex. I have no idea as to why you would want something that is 4 inches in diamater stuffed into your anus, but the bleeding should be a sure indicator that you need to rethink your stratagies on this one. If the bleeding is not continuous and/or excessive, it most likely is, as LDD suggests, a minor tearing of tissue in the anus. I have experienced this myself on a few occasions... when I first started anal play... tried a toy that was too big for my, uhm, experience level... etc.

If you don't have much experience with toys of that size, it might be better to downsize for a while and work your way up to the larger ones... and never forget: there's no such thing as 'too much lube'.

I don't put anything up my ass either but my partner does at times, and he said you shouldn't have any issues taking a dildo or hard dick that's 7x4.
