I can't mention Anne Rice without bringing up these books. In middle school, a friend of mine showed me the romance book of her mom's that she snuck into her backpack. Of course, she bookmarked all the good parts. I can't say I didn't like it, but I wanted more. Eventually I finally read The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, then the other 2. I enjoyed the first one more than the second two, but honestly they're now not my favorite erotic novels. While I like some BDSM, I'm not necessarily a fan of the 24/7 lifestyle.
I read these several years ago, they were good and a nice introduction to kink for my wife. They are pure fantasy though, not a real world type of working BDSM relationship.
Required reading none the less. There will be a test later.
